Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 April 2026

1. About this tool

Let's Siesta (“the Tool”) is a web-based retirement modelling tool for Australian residents. It is operated by Alpine Code (ABN 83 774 179 276) (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Tool you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. General advice warning

The Tool provides general information and modelled scenarios only. It does not provide personal financial advice, product recommendations, or specific courses of action. No output of the Tool should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product.

We do not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). The Tool is not a financial product or service under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

Any information provided by the Tool has been prepared without taking into account your personal objectives, financial situation, or needs. You should consider whether the information is appropriate for your circumstances before acting on it.

Before making any financial decisions, you should seek independent advice from a licensed financial adviser who can consider your personal circumstances.

3. How we make money

Let's Siesta currently generates revenue through optional premium subscriptions. Free features — including all four retirement calculators — are not influenced by any superannuation fund, financial product issuer, or third party.

If our revenue model changes in the future (for example, through referral arrangements or advertising partnerships), we will update this section and clearly disclose how it may affect the Tool's outputs or presentation.

4. No affiliation

Let's Siesta is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any superannuation fund, financial institution, or product issuer. Scenario outputs are determined solely by the data and assumptions you provide.

5. Accuracy and limitations

Calculations are based on current Australian tax rates, superannuation rules, Age Pension thresholds, and deeming rates as published by the ATO and Services Australia at the time of use. These rates may change without notice due to legislative updates, and the Tool may not reflect changes immediately.

All projections are modelled estimates based on the information you provide and the assumptions selected. Actual outcomes will differ due to market performance, legislative changes, individual circumstances, and other factors the Tool does not model.

We make reasonable efforts to keep calculations accurate but do not guarantee the correctness, completeness, or currency of any output.

No reliance: You should not rely solely on the information provided by this Tool when making financial decisions. Always verify calculations with a licensed financial adviser before acting. Alpine Code accepts no responsibility for decisions made on the basis of information displayed by the Tool.

6. Your data

If you use the Tool without signing in, your financial details (salary, super balance, assets, etc.) are stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers.

If you sign in, your name, email address, and financial profile are stored in our secure database to enable profile saving and retrieval. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time.

See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data we collect, how we handle it, and your rights.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Tool for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the calculation engine
  • Present outputs of the Tool as personal financial advice to others
  • Use automated systems to access the Tool in a way that impacts service availability

8. Intellectual property

All content on Let's Siesta — including text, code, design, logos, and the calculation engine — is owned by or licensed to Alpine Code and protected under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use the Tool for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any part of the site or its underlying code without our prior written consent.

9. Paid features

Some features of the Tool may be available only to paid subscribers. Pricing, payment terms, and refund policies will be displayed at the point of purchase. Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers whose own terms of service also apply.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Core free features (including all four calculators) will remain free.

10. Advertising

The Tool may display advertisements from third-party advertising networks. We do not control the content of these advertisements. The appearance of an advertisement does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by us.

Advertisements on this site are general in nature and are not personal financial advice. You should not rely on any advertisement as a basis for financial decisions.

11. Warranties

The Tool is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or similar state and territory legislation that cannot be excluded by agreement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Alpine Code and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, and including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or anticipated savings) arising from your use of the Tool, reliance on its data, or any decision made based on the information provided.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the Tool is limited to AUD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or equivalent state and territory consumer protection legislation.

13. Availability and termination

We aim to keep the Tool available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Tool at any time without notice.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Tool if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, including the acceptable use provisions in Section 7.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alpine Code and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Tool, or your presentation of the Tool's outputs as personal financial advice to any third party.

15. Third-party links

The Tool may contain links to third-party websites, including sign-in providers and external resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those sites. Linking to a third-party site does not constitute an endorsement.

16. Age restriction

The Tool is designed for Australian adults approaching retirement. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Tool. By using the Tool, you represent that you are 18 or older.

17. Complaints

If you have a complaint about the Tool or these Terms, please contact us at contact us via our website. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

For privacy-related complaints, please see Section 14 of our Privacy Policy, which includes the right to escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent changes were made. Continued use of the Tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. The parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

Before commencing legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute by contacting us at contact us via our website and allowing 30 days for a good-faith resolution.

20. General provisions

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Assignment: We may assign or transfer these Terms, or any rights or obligations under them, without restriction. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.

Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Alpine Code regarding your use of the Tool.
